Caves in an Ancient Land

17th International Congress of Speleology 23—30 July 2017

The Organising Committee has been working hard to ensure this Congress will be a successful and memorable event. Details of pre and post Congress Field Excursions, along with information about the Congress itself, will be available next month in the 2nd Congress Circular which will be available from the Speleo 2017 website. This will also be emailed to all subscribers to the website’s mailing list https://www.speleo2017.com/Subscribe.html.

We are still looking for volunteers to help with a range of tasks, both prior to and during the Congress. If you feel you can assist in any way, please contact us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..  Remember, the success of this Congress will hinge on many of us pulling together to produce something very special. And of course, we hope to see as many Australian cavers as possible enjoying the Congress and showing our international visitors just how and why our country is so great!

Promotional bookmarks have been produced for distribution to members of Caving Groups both here and overseas. Contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. if your club hasn’t received theirs yet and we’ll organise to get some to you. We are also looking for any cavers planning on attending related Speleological events overseas who would be prepared to present a short promotional powerpoint presentation and distribute promotional items on our behalf. Please also don’t forget to send through any still and/or video images we can use for promoting the Congress. We still need more.
