OZCAVERS Mail List

Introduction

The Australian Cavers Mailing List (Ozcavers) is run by This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. in Western Australia, with the aim of getting cavers communicating with each other on a regular basis about all matters caving!  This list allows those cavers to communicate to all other cavers who wish to participate.

Rules

The list has the following simple "rules" which members are requested to abide by:

1. Please do not send cave locations via the mailing list.
2. Please do not publish material distributed via the mailing list without the consent of the original author.
3. Please be courteous.
4. Any person placing defamatory information on ozcavers will be removed from the list.
5. Please do not forward messages received from ozcavers without the approval of the originator of the message.

1) You need a google account.  If you don't have a google account, your options are to make one that has a gmail address, or make a google account that has your regular email account for an email address.

2) To Subscribe to Ozcavers (a Google Group) via email, send an email to

3) You will receive an email with the following information:

     We received your request to join wasg-ozcavers.

     In order for us to complete the request, please reply to this email or click [the button] below.

Notes:
i) Always reply to the email to join. Clicking the button is inconsistent and will sometimes give an error of "you do not have permissions to access this group".
ii) You should send the subscribing message from the email address you want to receive messages. 
iii) For some groups, you may need to confirm the subscription request, as delineated above.  Ozcavers has a more restricted membership and will require the group owner to approve your subscription request before you can join.

To Unsubscribe from Ozcavers via email, send a blank email to

If it is successful, you should receive an email with the following Subject Line and Content:

Your unsubscription to wasg-ozcavers was successful.

Note: It may take some time for the unsubscribe request to go through. 

Changing email address

Please remember to unsubscribe (see above) with your old address PRIOR to subscribing as also described above. If you are unable to un-subscribe for any reason please contact the list administrator and request the removal of your old email address.
